Enter a crowded elevator. Get on it and face the back. Make direct eye contact with the person you are standing in front of. When you disembark, record the person’s reactions. On the return trip, introduce yourself to the person who is standing next to you and engage in an animated conversation. Record the reaction of the person and others around you. Then get on an empty elevator and stand in the exact center. Do not move when others board.

After you have done this activity, write a one page (approximately) report on what you experienced. How did you feel during the activity? How did those around you react? What did you learn from this activity?

Solution

In the situation 1, the person will be mostly feared or scared by your reactions that you are continuously starting her without any reason, the person will feel safe after getting off the crowded elevator

In the situation 2, the person will be in trust with you and will be going to talk to you regarding the things that are happening in his life and where is he heading to and for what puprose, the other people mostly feel and will not notice you.

In the situation 3, the people will assume that you are very arrogant and assume yourself as a king since you are not letting them enter the lift by standing in the between of the lift
