Assuming no. of brushes be B and no, of tubes of paint be P
purchases twice as many brushes as tubes of paint. B = 2P
So, B*0.50 + P*3 = 16
2P*0.5 +3P = 16
4P = 16
P = 4 (no. of tubes of paint)
B = 2P = 8 ( no. of brushes
