What are the mechanism of enzyme inhibition?

There are different types of mechanisms available for different inhibitors. Here we discuss about competitive and non competitive inhibitors mechanism.

First incase of competitive inhibition , a molecule called competeter competes with the substrate for the binding site of enzyme there by enzyme- substrate complex formation will be inhibited.but this is reversible which can be reversed by increasing the concentration of substrate.

In non competitive inhibition, a molecule binds other than the binding site of enzyme there by no inhibiton of enzymes- substrate complex formation. But this is irreversible .
