Cars can last Millions of miles and there is no life expectancy for engines. If they are well maintained they can oulive their owners.

Apart from engine, transmission and other mechanical parts, the condition of the body matters much especially when buying used cars. Check the condition of paint.

I have seen the above cars being run more than 300,000 miles (when I was in the US).

Select the one which appeals to you and fits into your budget. In general my experience is that Japanese cars need less maintenance and hence in the used car market command higher prices.
