Consider the following structure of dynamic MOS logic circuits. Assume that the minimum size of NMOS is 2 units (n = 2) and PMOS is 3 units (p = 3) with channel length of 0.25 mum (L = 0.25 mum). Determine the channel width (in mum) of the transistor Q_A and Q_P.

Solution

QA is NMOS

Given the size of NMOS=2 units

that means W/L=2

So the width of QA=W=2*L=2*0.25µm=0.5µm

QP is PMOS

Given the size of PMOS=3 units

that means W/L=3

So the width of QP=W=3*L=3*0.25µm=0.75µm
