molar mass of ammonium nitrate = 80 g/mol


for 1.1 molal solution = 1.1 mole/ 1000 g


thus for 45.0 mL/ 50 g (as density of water is 1g/mL) of DI water we will need = 45.0*1.1/1000 mol

                                                                                                                                        = 0.0495 mol


thus grams of ammonium nitrate = 0.0495 * 80 = 3.96 g
