During muscle contraction, myosin is directly response of what?
Solution
Actin filaments are usually in association with myosin and are responsible for many types of cell movements.Myosin the prototype of the molecular motor(its is a protein which converts chemical energy in the form of ATP to mechanical energy thus generating force and movement).During contraction myosin heads in the thick filaments(which stickout towards the thin filament) bind actin in the thin filaments and pull the thin filaments in towards the centre. There are many sites at which myosin binds actin running the enitre length of thin/thick filament overlap.Hence without myosin and actin there will be no contraction between the bones as they play major role in contraction.
