The culture that is extensively disseminated via the mass medium.

Mass culture is the set of thoughts and values that develop from a ordinary exposure to the same medium, news sources, music, and art. Mass culture is transmit or otherwise distributed to persons in its place of arising as of their day-to-day connections with each other. Thus, mass culture usually lacks the sole content of local society and regional cultures. Regularly, it promotes the position of persons as customers. With the rise of printing and broadcasting in the nineteen and twenty centuries, the scope of mass culture prolonged dramatically. It replaced myths, which was the cultural normal of customary local societies. With the enlargement of the Internet since the 1990s, many distinctions among mass media and myths have become blurred.

Meaning & Concept of Popular Culture :

Popular culture is the builted up store of cultural crop such as art ,music, literature, dance , fashion, , film, television, and radio that are inspired primarily by non-elite groups such as the working, lower, and middle group. There are two conflicting sociological arguments in relative to popular culture. One quarrel is that popular culture is old by the elites (who be inclined to control the mass media and popular culture opening) to control those underneath them since it dulls people’s minds, making them inert and easy to control.

A second disagreement is just the opposite, that popular culture is a vehicle for revolt against the culture of central groups.

Mass culture & Popular culture differs .As per mentioned in above meaning & explanation , Mostly mass culture are associated with mass media, Where a common message send to large no of customers. This culture is totally different.

Popular culture is associated with one media / option , where people are attracted towards only that because of their popular application .So again this culture is different.

Americanization are associated with Mass culture as well as popular culture. Yes these cultures have some threats on customers.

2) People are using these types of cultures in very un systematic way.

3) Young stars are affected mostly by such cultures.
