Give two examples of organizational changes that you think should be implemented at UPI through project management. What is it about your two suggestions that can most benefit UPI?

UPI is United Press International is an International news agency who writes articles, publish news on global level. They had a very reputed and popular time since few decades back.At present the company is facing stiff competition from giants in media like BBC, CNN etc. They have stopped their operations in many countries due to cash flow crucnh and lack of adaptability to the changes.

In UPI suggested changes are derived from establishing the need, implementation and monitoring the same. To establish a need for change, the role of senior management is to articulate where they want to see the organization in next 5-10 yrs.

For example, a saturated local market in case of UPI smay force a company to consider international expansion. They have to focus on emerging market like ASEAN countries for expansion.second involves changing structures and processes , such as reducing the number of management layers, uniting various business units, reducing employee strength , provide rights to divisional manager for making more decision making capability.
