How is the mathematical analysis of pressure loss in noncircular channels different from circular? Please show equation(s).

To calculate the frictional head loss (or pressure drop) in non-circular pipes the method must be adapted to use the Hydraulic Diameter instead of the internal dimensions of the pipe.
