Solve the triangle, if possible Select the correct choice below and fill in the answer boxes within the choice (Round to one decimal place as needed.) There are 2 possible solutions for the triangle. The measurements for the solution with the longer side c are as follows B = degrees C = degree The length of side c = The measurements for the solution with the shorter side c are as follows B = degrees C = degree The length of side c = There is only 1 possible solution for the triangle. The measurements for the remaining angles A and C and side c are as follows. B = degrees C = degree The length of side c = There are no possible solutions for the triangle.

Solution

A = 35 deg ; a = 22 ; b = 17

use sine rule : a/sinA = b/sinB

sinB = 17*sin35/22 = 0.443

B1 = 26.30 deg ; B2 = 180 - B1 = 153.69 deg

So, C1 = 180 -35 -26.30 = 118.7 deg

C2 = 180 - 35 - 153.69 =-8.69

So only 1 triangle is possbile: B = 25.30 = 25.3 deg; C = 118.7 deg

c/sinC = a/sinA ; c = sin118.7*22/sin35 = 33.64 = 33.6
