College students were given three choices of pizza toppings

College students were given three choices of pizza toppings and asked to choose one favorite. The following table shows the results. A randomly selected student prefers a cheese topping. .325 .126 .338 .387

Solution

Total number of students = 10+15+21 +29+24+29+15+10+15+10+24+29 = 231 ( we got it by adding each number in the table) = total number of outcomes

Total number of students prefers a cheese topping = 10+15+21+29 =75 (adding the numbers of the 1st row)

= total number of favourable outcomes

Therefore required probability = total number of favourable outcomes/ total number of outcomes

= 75/231 =0.325

so option a> (answer)
