Let the application be chosen is Bio-Metric Attendance management system of staffs of a school.Bio-metric attendance management system is an application system which maintains the attendance record of a group of people. It is an autonomous application which is used to maintain e-attandace based on user\'s bio-metric pattern such eye retina, finger print pattern, voice pattern.

User Requirements for the system

a) It should be able to take input of thumb impression(bio-metric) of all staffs.

b) It should display the present and absent record of each as well as all staffs when asked.

c) It should be able to prepare a list of staffs who are absent more then a specified limit.

d) It should be able to categorize staffs based on their present and absent record.

System Requirements

a) To implement the system one needs to have a bio-metric scanner.

b) Internet Connectivity may be.

c) The frame works.

d)  A computer system with atleast 2GB RAM and with atleast 50 GB free Hard disk space.

User Functional Requirements

a) The System must recognize the staff based on the thumb impression and update his/her attendance table in the database

b) The system must give an error message to the user if the thumb impression is not recognized and should request the user to get it scan once more.

c) The system must keep a record whenever a staff enters the premises in late.

d) The system must give a warning message to a staff if he/she is not regular.

Functional System Requirements

a) It should be able to run a bio-metric analyzer program.

b) It should maintain a database of bio-metric patterns to recognize users.

c) It should be able to perform a quick comparison to input bio-metric with the stored one.

d) It should be able to maintain a database of staffs and upgrades them regularly based on staffs\' attendance.

High Level Functional Requirements

a) It should be able to protect its database from an offline/online attack.

b) It should recognize a false user/attendance or how much the system is reliable.

c) It should be easier to maintain the system.

d) It should recover smoothly if any crash occurs
