Solution

Melanin is a pigment found in skin cells. Melanogenesis is the process through which cells called melanocytes produce melanine. Melanocytes react with skin cells which are responsible for storing melanin in cells called melanosomes. More melanocytes means more melanin and more melanin is result of brown color. Less melanin is resposible white tone of skin. People who lived geographically close to equator had darker skin and people who lived far from equator had lighter skin tone because in equator region the climate is warm, UV rediation is high so, from the harmfulness of UV melanin produces more so skin become brown whereas people who lived far from equator had less melanin so their skin tone bocome lighter.
