MasteringChemistry: Chapter 4-Google Chrome Secure https://session.materingchemistry.com/myct/itemve ?assignmentProblemID K Chapter Exercise 4.53 Constants 1 Periodic Table Calculate the molarity of each of the following solutions

Solution

Part :A:

Molarity = number of moles /volume of solution in L

molarity = 5.05 mol / 3.20 L = 1.58 M

Therefore, molarity = 1.58 M

part:B:

number of moles of C6H12O6 = 29.33 g / 180.156 g/mol = 0.163 mol

Molarity = number of moles / volume of solution in L

molarity = 0.163 mol / 1.34 L = 0.122 M

part C:

mass of NaCl = 33.4 mg = 0.0334 g

number of moles of NaCl = 0.0334 g / 58.4 g/mol = 5.72*10^-4 mol

molarity = 5.72*10^-4 mol / 0.1106 L = 5.17*10^-3 M

Therefore, molarity =  5.17*10^-3 M
