Calculate delta G for H2O g O2 g H2O2 g at 5996K using the

Calculate delta G for H2O (g) + O2 (g) ---> H2O2 (g) at 599.6K using the following data

H2(g) + O2(g) ---> H2O2(g) Kp=2.3x10^6 at 599.6K

2H2(g) + O2(g) ---> 2H2O(g) Kp=1.8x10^37 at 599.6K

Solution

reverse the second reaction and divide it by 2.
add with the 1st reaction.
the desired equation will be obtained.
so, the k value final = [1/(sqrt  1.8x10^37 )]*[2.3x10^6 ]

Now Â
delta GÂ = -RT ln(K final)
