From a professional perspective, how has the study of international business impacted you? What have you learned in this course that you could include in your resume as a skill?

Solution

From a consumer perspective, international business has helped to understand the benefits when a country opens up and attract MNCs to the domestic market. It brings competition, improves quality to the consumers and lower price. It benefits us as a consumer. Further, it has helped to understand the exaggerated claim of the government that international trade is responsible for the loss of jobs and don’t rely on it after the course. Now, I can judge the government decisions in better way either as a true economic & rational decision or a populist commitment to please the people. So, I have become an informed consumer.

From a professional perspective, the study has helped me to assess the market before entry, identify the best mode of entry that minimize the risk as per the management’s perspective and the importance of local taste and preferences when offering products to the local audience. It improves the rate of success and I can suggest the organization regarding the international strategy, pricing, marketing communication, strategic alliances and community development. It can help to improve the level of local acceptability.
