speed , v = 1.2 *10^6 m/s

a) let the acceleration of the proton is a

Using second law of motion

m * a = e * F

1.67 *10^-27 * a = 1.6 *10^-19 * 640

a = 6.132 *10^10 m/s^2

the acceleration of the proton is 6.132 *10^10 m/s^2

b)

let the time taken is t

a* t = v

6.132 *10^10 * t = 1.2 *10^6

t = 1.96 *10^-5 s

the time taken is 1.96 *10^-5 s
