From a population of 2,000 fifth grade students, how many males in the remedial class would you need in a sample size of 100? In the population, males and females are equally distributed and 10 percent of all children are in remedial classes.

Given:

population of 2,000 fifth grade students.

from this 10% are in remedial classes.:2000*10/100

=200

these 200 both male and Female

only males 10 percent of all 2000 children are in remedial classes:200/2=100 ( equally distributed )

For sample 100 = above is 2000 = 100

=100*100/2000=5.
