Is desire (craving) good or bad or, can desire be good or bad:

Desire is good for a common man whose intent is to achieve certain goals and objectives in life. It is always appropriate for a very normal human to have the craving or the desire which always leads him or her to continue to focus on aiming high in order to be successful in their ambition in life. Hence, it cannot be said that craving is bad. On the other hand, for people who are aiming to reach Nirvana, certainly, craving towards general wishes of life is bad. Instead, their cravings need to be superlative in nature where the aim for uncommon desires which leads to Nirvana where they sacrifice all common wishes of a normal human being.

How do desires reveal an individual’s sense of the meaning and purpose of life:

Desires reveal an individual\'s sense of the meaning and purpose of life by making him or her make themselves committed to the original objective & intention which they define for. Once the objective is defined, the purpose has to be clarified, objectively measure, critical thinking & analysis, check-in for improvement and control. Constant aspiration, continuous focus, determination, perseverance, and patience reveals an individual\'s sense of the meaning and purpose of life.

How do you think desires relate to religious ethics in Buddhism:

Buddhists have faith in the sacrifice that it is the only way to get to Nirvana in one\'s life. As a human, we\'re always attached to our family, friends, near and dear ones. When we cannot sacrifice what we have or what we love then it impossible to get to Nirvana. Buddhism is a path of practice and spiritual development leading to an insight into the true nature of reality. Buddhist practices like meditation are means of changing yourself in order to develop the qualities of awareness, kindness, and wisdom.
