Name the quadrant in which the angle lies sec 0 tan 0Solut

Name the quadrant in which the angle lies.

sec < 0, tan < 0

Solution

all ratio\'s are positve in 1st quadrant, sin / cosecc is positive for all angles in 2nd quadrant reat all negative,

similarly tan /cut are poitive in third quadrant rest negative and

cos/sec are positive in 4th quad and rest negative

Now, in first quadrant all are positive and angle can not be there
3rd quadrant, tan is positive where as your question says tan (theta) < 0, hence it can not be there
similarly it can not be there in 4th quadrant also as sec (theta) >0 there where as question says it should be <0

so angle should lie only in quadrant two where sec (theta) and tan (theta) both are <0
90< theta <180 degrees : it must be less than 180 degrees and more than 90degrees

Name the quadrant in which the angle lies. sec < 0, tan < 0Solutionall ratio\'s are positve in 1st quadrant, sin / cosecc is positive for all angles in 2n
