Modern times, deal with the issues and developments such as globalization, free trade as well as interstate trade and strong internal security framework. To manage these developments, it is important to make all the states of the USA, work in the one direction. It is only possible when Washington as Federal government center should have the greater power. It will help the Washington to form those national policies related to security, trade, health care and technological development among the others that have a shared interest of all the states as stakeholders. It will bring focus and prevent conflicting views that generally takes place in state’s policy. So, there is a need to give more power to Washington.
Here, it is taken care that additional power to Washington, does not mean that it brings restriction upon the state or deliver undue benefits to one state at the expense of another state. Besides, Washington should also take care that powers should not unnecessarily supersede the state powers to disturb the day to day discharge of activities.
