If a triangle ABC a 11 b 14 and c 17 Solve the triangle U

If a triangle ABC, a = 11, b = 14, and c = 17. Solve the triangle. Use degree(\")as the unit for all angles.

Solution

a=11 , b=14 , c=17

using cosine law

a2=b2+c2-2bc cos A

121=196 +289-476 cos A

cos A= 364/476

A= 40.1 degree

using sine law

Sin A/a= Sin B/b

sin 40.1/11= sin B/14

sin B=14 sin 40.1 /11

B=55.1 degree

C=180-(A +B) = 84.8 degree
