The accompanying data set lists the retirement ages for 24 d

The accompanying data set lists the retirement ages for 24 doctors. Use the data to construct a cumulative frequency distribution using six clases and to create an ogive for the data set. Then describe the location of the greatest increase in frequency.

Retirement age:

53 54 57 57 57 79 63 63 64 62 67 63 62 64 63 65 69 66 50 65 73 77 77 73

Solution

There are total 24 doctors

We divide all into 6 classes

First class average = 53+54+57+57/4 = 221/4 = 55.25

2nd class average = 57+ 79+63+63/4 = 65.5

3 class average = 64+62+67+63/4= 64

4 class average = 62+64+63+65/4= 63.5

5 class average = 69+66+50+65/4= 62.5

6 class avaerage = 77+ 73 +77 +73/4 = 75

As it can be seen the greatest increase in frequency is between class 5 and 6

The accompanying data set lists the retirement ages for 24 doctors. Use the data to construct a cumulative frequency distribution using six clases and to create
