Two angles are supplementary one is 84 degree more than twice the other Find the measures of the angles Supplementary angles are angles whose sum is 180 degree What is the measure of the smaller angle? Degree (Simplify your answer.) What is the measure of the other angle? Degree (simplify your answer)

Solution

We know that two angles that add up to 1800 are called supplementary angles. Let the smaller angle be x0. Then the larger angle is x0 +840. Since these are supplementary angles, therefore, x + (x+84) = 180 or, 2x+84 = 180 or, 2x = 180 - 84 = 96. Hence x = 96/2 = 48.

Thus, the smaller angle is 480.

The measure of the other angle is 1800- 480= 1320.

Two angles are supplementary one is 84 degree more than twice the other Find the measures of the angles Supplementary angles are angles whose sum is 180 degree
