1. If we disobey our supervisor\'s order we might have many serious repercussions. The orders given by your supervisor is based on a lot of experience that people have had in the same role or position and has been deduced from those experiences. Often some documents such as SLAa, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) are created based on experience and best practices in the industry. If we don\'t obey our supervisor\'s instructions, we may have the following effects:
a. Not able to count the inventory or inventory mismatch.
b. Not able to track pilferage or theft.
c. Unable to measure daily sale or daily revenue generation.
2. Had I been in this situation I would have handled things in a different manner. Instead of scolding the employee, I would have asked for the reason of such a behaviour. Then I would have advised him about the proper process and the reason for the same. If I didn’t know what was the reason because of which our supervisor has prevented us from selling before the inventory count is done, I would have routed him to the proper person who could explain him the same.
