Write gx dashed line in terms of sx solid line 10 A glaxfx 3

Write g(x) (dashed line) in terms of s(x) (solid line). 10) A) glax)--f(x) -3 B) g(x) = f(-(x + 3)) C) g(x) = /(-9-3 D) g(x) = f(-(x-3))

Solution

As per graph for every value of f(x) at x , the value of g(x) for same x is reflexive. It\'s exactly the mirror image of the f(x) graph.

=> g(x) = - f(x) + c

c is calculated as : -

The Only difference is that

for x=0 f(x) = 0 while g(0) = -3

there is a difference = -3 - 0= -3

so the exact value of g(x) = -f(x) - 3

you can cross check this by putting different values of x.

 Write g(x) (dashed line) in terms of s(x) (solid line). 10) A) glax)--f(x) -3 B) g(x) = f(-(x + 3)) C) g(x) = /(-9-3 D) g(x) = f(-(x-3)) SolutionAs per graph f
