Given f(x)= x² +6     and g(x)= 5-x. Find g[f(x)] = h(x)

      g[f(x)]= 5- (x² +6) = 5-x² -6      h(x)= -x² - 6

Solution

Given that f(x)= x² +6     and    g(x)= 5-x.

g[f(x)] = g(f(x))

       = g(x^2+6)

    = 5-(x^2+6)

      = 5-x^2 - 6

      = -x^2 - 1 is not h(x)
