I have a problem that asks me to find an angle in degrees, but I need to put it in the range (-180°, 180°]. What does that mean?
Solution
it means that your answer should be in this given interval.
So, if your answer is outside this interval suppose 300° degrees then it is not acceptable you must try and find out the answers only in (-180°, 180°] this interval
Also make sure it cannot be -180° also because we have a open parenthesis there
it can be 180° as we have closed parenthesis for 180°
