1.The main objective of the Johari Window is to:
increase the size of the open area.
increase the hidden and unknown area.
prevent others from understanding the reasons behind our actions.
prevent an individual’s perceptual limitations being disclosed to his colleagues.
discourage disclosure and feedback.
2.
Consistency, consensus, and distinctiveness are the:
three of the four quadrants in the Johari Window.
three elements of the selective attention process.
three rules that determine whether we make an internal or external attribution.
three elements of behavior modification.
the main causes of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Solution
Ans 1: The main objective of the Johari Window is to increase the size of the open area in the Johari window, so that both we and our collegues are aware/ understand our perceptual limitations or our perceptual thought processes. This helps for better understanding between us. This will helps in reducing the hidden and unknwon part so that we reduce the non-understanding between self and colleagues.
Ans 2: Consistency , consensus and distinctiveness are the three rules that determines whether we make internal or external attributions. So these are the three rules which helps in determning the attributions.
