INTRODUCTION

Social psychology can be defined as the scientific study of how people\'s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others. The scientific study depends on the method of investigation. This implies that a person\'s thoughts , or feelings can be influenced by other people or the society even in the physical absence of people around. Thus, by social psychology, psychologists explain that human behaviour arises as a combination of the interaction of mental states and an individual\'s reaction to the immediate social situations. Social psychology bridges the gap between sociology and psychology. This branch identifies the factors that allow the humans to behave in a particular way.

There have been more than one method devised to check the behaviour of humans and its influence on people . By the American psychologists, this phenomenon has been more researched as an individual interaction, whereas , the group dynamics have been more in focus by the European scientists.

METHOD

For researching, one of the variables from the interacting environment is varied and the effects are checked on other variables. For a valid experiment, there has to be a control , in order to check its comparison with the affected individuals. For example, an experiment could be designed such that in one group, children are given regular physical and outdoor games, whereas in the other, children are kept devoid of physical activities and put on only indoor games as an exposure. The subsequent change in behaviour and attitude can be monitored. The answers could be computed by correlation using statistical methods with relation between two naturally occurring variables.
