Solution

Explanation

Nutrients like nitrates (N) and phosphorous (P) are essential for growth but in certain amount, if they present in excess amount may create lot of problem to aquatic life.

1. Excessive fertilization of water with these nutrients create excessive growth of water plant and algae in water.

2. Due to excessive growth of these plant light penetration is not happened which result in death of other small plant which acts as food for fish and other aquatic animal.

3. Due to large growth of plant it results in excessive dead organic material.

4. Excessive dead organic material demand for oxygen and reduces availability of oxygen to other aquatic animal results in death of fish.

5. This dead organic material produced bad odours in water which is inappropriate to drink.

6. Due to change in oxygen level of water ultimate results in change in PH of water which is also responsible for death of fish in short eutrophication.
