Starting with Windows Server 2008 its possible to do a full

Starting with Windows Server 2008, it\'s possible to do a full install or a core install of the server OS. What\'s the pros and cons of each type of install? Why did Microsoft bother providing these install options?

Solution

At the very start when microsoft NtT was launched since then they used to laugh at UNIX taht why still they are using Emacs and vi. Microsoft always beliived to be building an user interface which is golssy and user friendly. But what happened to those ideologies why shifting from Full to core ?. I have ran some tests on same machine for full and core and the improvements while using core in CPU utilization, memory usegae and Disk usage is given as follows.
