lim x to infinity tanhx...My question is wahat is the reason to multiply top and bottom by e^-x

Solution

tanhx= e^x +e^-x /e^x -e^-x if you put x=infinity limit will be (infinity+0)/(infinity-0)=infinity/infinity which is indeterministic if you multiply by e^-x on top and bottom it will become (1+ e^-2x)/(1-e^-2x) now limit will be (1+ 0)/(1-0) =1
lim x to infinity tanhx...My question is wahat is the reason to multiply top and bottom by e^-xSolution tanhx= e^x +e^-x /e^x -e^-x if you put x=infinity limit
