Describe the relationship between group norms, group cohesiveness and performance? ( Organizational Behavior )

First let us understand the terms-
Group norms are set of unwritten rules or unspoken rules or code of conducts in an organization which are not formal and support individual behavior in a group.
Group cohesiveness- There is a interpersonal attraction among the group members that resists separation from the group.
Performance- And as we know the performance, it is the accomplishment of a given task as per the standard, speed, cost or other aspects.
In an organization where many employees work it is obvious that certain group norms are made. As I have discussed above these norms are informal. These informal norms create a bond between the employees and that interpersonal attraction between the employees resists the employee from leaving the group. The employees understand each other, their coordination, communication, conflicts handling helps the group in achieving the goal. Hence the overall performance of the group is increased.
