We calculate the linear slope by using the formula: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Which here translates to (1-0)/(2-0) = 1/2 = 0.5

As we know the slope (y2-y2)/(x2-x1) = 0.5 which gives (y2-y1) = 0.5×(x2-x1)
