Solve the triangle for the remaining angles and sides If no

Solve the triangle for the remaining angles and sides If no triangle exists, say \"no triangle\" Be sure to check the appropriate problems for multiple triangle. a = 4, b = 1, c = 100degree

Solution

a= 4 ; b = 1 ; C = 100 deg

Use cosine rule : c^2 = (a^2 +b^2 -2abcosC)

= 16 + 1 - 8cos100

= 10.10

c = 3.178

use sine rule : a/sinA = c/sin100

sinA = 4*sin100/3.178 = -0.637

Now sin is -ve in IIIrd qudarnt .So , A > 180

So, no triangle possible

 Solve the triangle for the remaining angles and sides If no triangle exists, say \
