a) the formula for calculating inbreeding coefiicient is:

f = (1/2) ^ N1 + (1/2) ^ N2 + (1/2) ^ N3 +.......... + (1/2)^ Nn

therefore for this population, the formula becomes :

(1/2) ^ 13 + (1/2) ^ 8 + (1/2) ^1 + (1/2)^ 27 + (1/2) ^10 + (1/2) ^ 21

which when we calculate is roughly equal to 0.505 or 0.5 so that would be the inbreeding coefficient for this population.
