Now first of all we need to find the total number of cubes present in first layer from the bottom that is lowest layer.
As we can see,

Therefor number of cubes present in lowest layer
=8×3
=24.
Hence,
Total number of cubes needed to fill the rectangular prism
= Cubes in one layer × Total number of layers present
=24×5
= 120.
