Use the Rational Zero Theorem to list all possible rational

Use the Rational Zero Theorem to list all possible rational zeros for the given function f(x) -x4+7x3-5x2+2x 12 2 34612 B)±D, ± 1, ± 12 C)-, t-, ± D) ±1, ± 2, ± 3, ± 4, ± 6, ± 12 12 1, ± 2, ± 3, ± 4, ±6212 QUESTION4 Solve the polynomial inequality. Express the solution set in interval notation. B) I-2,4] D) I-4,2

Solution

given f(x)=1x4+7x3-5x2+2x-12

factors of leading coefficient(coefficient of x4) are ±1

factors of constant(i.e, -12) are ±1,±2,±3,±4,±6,±12

so the possible rational zeroes are  (±1,±2,±3,±4,±6,±12)/±1

so the possible rational zeroes are ±1,±2,±3,±4,±6,±12
