The output voltage of an AC generator is given by v 110 V s

The output voltage of an AC generator is given by v = (110 V) sin (40t). The generator is connected across a 25.0- resistor. Find the current when t = 0.0050 s.

Solution

Here ,

V = 110 * sin(40*pi * t)

Now at t = 0.0050 s

V = 110 * sin(40pi * 0.0050)

currnet = V/R

currnet = 110 * sin(40pi * 0.0050)/25

current = 110/25 * sin(40pi * 0.0050)

current = 2.586 A

the current in the resistance is 2.586 A
