Knowledge engineering is a field in Artificial intellegence which is used to generate knowledge base system..like expert system..These expert system contains programmed knowledge which can be used to solve the real time problems by system.. The knowledge for the expert system is acquired through various sources like journals,articals,books, human experts etc, this knowledge collected and programmed by knowledge engineer and programmer , this is known as knowledge engineering

Shallow knowledge:- this is the surface level represention of the information, which can be used in specific situations..

Deep knowledge:-this is concern with underlying meanings and principles,and integration of facts and feelings with previously acquired knowledge, by appyling some learning procedure

Rule-based system:-knowledge is represented in the form of rules in rule-base expert systems.

Model-based system:- model based expert system is designed as a set of case..(which are happened in the past)..
