Based on your opinion, do you believe that every person on the planet has a right to food security? If so, describe how you would proceed in making sure every person on the planet had adequate food. If you do not believe that food security is a human right, describe why not.

Food Security is a basic human right.

There are multiple countries/regions in the world which produce surplus food. There is a huge amount of wastage of food in the developed nations of the world. In order to make sure that there is no wastage, some kind of an international mechanism has to be created wherein we can divert the surplus food produce from these regions to the regions where theres is scarcity of food. This has to involve the WTO which can help regulate or create policies which ensure there is free flow of food from the surplus region to the deficit region. This can be done by creating trade policies which encourage this movement and can be benficial to both the parties. To create a framework for this multiple stakeholders have to be identified at the global level and everyone has to be on the same page in terms of achieveing the objective.
