Solution

I have undergone a crucial conversation with my colleague last week regarding work. I was on sick leave for one day and the next day when I reached office I came to know that one of the problem tickets I was working on has been closed by my junior. I felt very angry as I have taken so much effort for solving the ticket and it was in final stage. I spoke to him in a harsh language and he was trying to convince me. Later he also became angry which made the situation worse. I thought that he was trying to be smart in front of the management stealing my work and made up mind to believe that story. When he told he has done the call closure only because of senior management intervention as the issue was escalated to the higher management level by the customer who raised the problem I thought of proving it wrong. I checked with my supervisor in front of him. Our supervisor told me the fact that the ticket was escalated very badly on the previous day and the management was in a difficult situation as I was on leave. Hence he only requested my colleague to check the issue and resolve the issue and he has closed the ticket as per the supervisor’s request. After analyzing the facts I understood that my ego and emotions has made me to create such a story of stealing my work which led to the crucial situation. When I understood the facts I apologized to my colleague for the incident and the conversation ended up nicely solving the conflicts between us.
