If two trees are randomly chosen, what is the probability that one tree is at least 6 inches in diameter and the other tree is 2 to 6 inches in diameter? Please show work
Figure 3.4.5 Diameters of 30-year-old Douglas fir trees 0.03 0.07 1- 0.20 | 0.33 | 0.25 | 0.12 - 10 12 14 Diameter (inches)

Solution

there is no work in this just need to see the graph

for the one tree is at least 6 we need to see the graph and see how is the probability

of the diameter is more than 6 that is 0.25 + 0.12 +0.07 = 0.44

for the other tree that is 2 to 6 the probability that the diameter is between 2 and 6 is 0.20+0.33 =0.53

If two trees are randomly chosen, what is the probability that one tree is at least 6 inches in diameter and the other tree is 2 to 6 inches in diameter? Please
