In narrative form answer the following questions-
-Why do you think scheduling has been the major focus of effort throughout the history of project management rather than performance or budgeting?
-How would you handle a persistent request from executives for a specific implementation date for your project before even having requirements completed?
Solution
Scheduling is the most important step for a project more than performing or budgeting because everything depends on scheduling. When we plan our project correctly, we can automatically execute it well and hence the project runs smoothly. Hnece scheduling is very important and we even need to schedule it carefully considering all the factors.
We cannot give a specific implementation date before completing the requirements because without proper schedule and plan we cannot determine when the project would start and when will it end . So we need to decline their request and explain then that until all the requirements are complerted the date of the project cannot be determined.
