My masters thesis is about mincer model, I will use those variables (I didn\'t finalise the equation yet): Working experience in years, educational level, gender, city, working sector (gov, private, semi-gov).

I have my own survey of 200 samples:

1. Should I use Oxaca decompisition?

2. Is it possible to account for gender and nationality in mincer model without oxacas model?

3. What is the best beginner resource to study probit and ocaxas model?

Solution

1- In my opinion you should go with Oxaca decomposition, as it is a basic tool for finding out racial and gender wage differentials and discrimination, and it\'s been allowed in court legal proceeding on discrimination.

2-Yes it is possible to account for gender and nationality in models like mincer without oxacas model but other possible methods are complex and less feasible so i suggest you to go with Oxacas model
