In an endocrinology research lab, the following experiment was done (refer to attached figure: https://i.gyazo.com/11712196253744bf90a9a6fc5f502711.png ) . A ram (male sheep) was castrated (both testes surgically removed). Five days after surgery, testosterone was injected into the castrated ram. Ten days after surgery, the same dose of testosterone was injected into the ram, together with a water-soluble extract of the testes. Briefly explain the following findings:
a. One day after castration, plasma levels of FSH and LH were high in the ram.
b. Six days after castration, levels of LH were low but levels of FSH were high.
c. Eleven days after castration, levels of both LH and FSH were low.
