2. In chemiluminescence, a molecule in an \"excited\" state (i.e. electrons are at a high energy level) is produced. The electrons in the molecule then must return to their stable state (i.e. the lower level). Explain how this is linked to the production of light.
Solution
When the electron return to more stable state it releases energy corresponding to the levels it jump down. When the wavelength associated with the emitted energy falls in the visible range of spectra i.e. 390 to 700 nm then we can see light . So when emission are in visible range for humans light production is observed.
