A point moves with angular velocity of 23 radians per second on a circle of 10 ft. Find the distance in feet travelled by the point is 2 minutes.

Solution

w=25 radians per second , r =10 ft

linear velocity v=rw

v =10*25

v=250 ft/sec

time t =2 minutes =2*60=120 seconds

distance travelled = v *t

distance travelled = 250*120

distance travelled =30000 feet
